Introducing Make it Happen's First Executive Director: Cathi Schmidt
After almost ten years as an entirely volunteer based organization, we are excited to announce that we have hired our first employee. Cathi Schmidt joined our organization this month in the role of Executive Director where she will closely work with our volunteers to expand our partnerships, raise awareness with potential new partners, increase our fundraising activities and provide additional organizational support to increase the number of youth served.
Cathi, a Davis resident, has enjoyed a successful career providing global supply chain solutions to fortune 500 companies. She has an extensive background in business development, organizational behavioral management and significant experience working with other not for profit organizations.
“It has been my goal and desire to work for a nonprofit that provides much needed services to the underserved youth of our community. I have found in Make it Happen for Yolo County an organization that addresses those needs in a way that is truly impactful and where I believe I can make a positive contribution”.
